That’s because these hose connections are subject to continuous vibrations over an extended period of time, which means a low-torque hose clamp won’t cut it. High-torque, heavy duty hose clamps will keep these hose connections sealed well for a longer interval.

High-pressure fluid connections
Hoses that pass fluids at high pressures, such as process lubricating liquids or the pressurized refrigerant in an air conditioning, also require heavy duty hose clamps that can maintain a tight seal. Fuel line connections
